What We Do

Child Protection Programs

Foster Care

Foster care provides a safe and nurturing environment to children who are unable to live with their biological families. It offers them the stability, support and love they need during the critical time in their lives, helping them to thrive and reach their full potential.

CEAC has identified 324 prospective foster families.

Family Strengthening

Family strengthening initiative focuses on providing resources, education, and support to families to ensure a safe, stable, loving and protected family environment to vulnerable families. The program aims to prevent family separation and promote overall family well-being.

CEAC has identified 476 families in Chhattisgarh and West Bengal to be supported under Mission Vatsalya.

Policy Development

Well-defined and clear policies are important for implementation of any law/policy at the ground level. CEAC has supported nine states, as well as Sri Lanka and Mauritius, in developing policies on foster care. The objective is to improve the foster care system, ensuring that every child receives the care and opportunities necessary for their full growth and development.

Knowledge Enhancement

Knowledge enhances the skills and abilities of stakeholders, individuals, and agencies, enabling them to perform their duties and responsibilities effectively. Through training and knowledge resources, CEAC aims to strengthen the entire child protection ecosystem, ensuring high-quality care for all children in need. CEAC has developed resources with the support of NCPCR, UNICEF and State Governments.

rights and the legal options available. This guidance ensures that women can navigate the legal system more effectively, ensuring their safety and justice. Additionally, legal consultation can connect women with resources such as shelters and counselling services, creating a comprehensive support network that addresses both their immediate and long-term needs.

Economic Empowerment

Economic empowerment involves providing the necessary tools, resources, and opportunities to achieve financial independence and economic stability. This can be achieved through education, skill development, access to financial services, and the promotion of entrepreneurship. Programs focused on economic empowerment include vocational training, microfinance initiatives, mentorship, and business development support. These efforts not only increase women’s earning potential but also build their confidence and decision-making power within their households and communities.

Community Outreach

Community outreach focuses on prevention of domestic violence and creates awareness about the complex effects of
